It’s almost here!

In our continuing efforts to prevent substance use through education and awareness, we are hosting a Kahoot! For Cash Tournament with great prizes, and we invite YOU to participate. The tournament will have two (2) phases. 

 Phase I - May 15th  during lunch (11:15-11:45), from participating MCPS high schools:

• Players will gather in a classroom/gym/auditorium (each school will designate the space) with a large screen to project the questions on screen. 
• Students play independently on your Chromebooks, phones, or other device of your choice. 
• The top scoring player from each school will be invited to join us at our May forum for the final playoff at the end of the forum.

Notes: 

• Students who register to play will receive clues on broad categories and websites with useful information to prepare to play.  
• Doing some research in preparation for the game will increase your chances of winning.  At a minimum, you will learn more about the dangers of any substance use – including vaping and alcohol - the importance of good mental and physical health, and resources available to you should you need help. 

For your friends who do not play in the tournament themselves, encourage them to come cheer you on! They too will learn some things. Win-Win!

Phase II – May 20th at the end of our May forum at Seneca Valley High School, the winners from each high school will face off in the final round for a chance to win. 

Players are encouraged to bring along friends and family to participate in the forum and then cheer you on as you play to WIN!! 

The prizes are:        

• 1st Place   $1,000!!
• 2nd Place $    500
• 3rdPlace   $    250
• Door prizes (randomly drawn)

This effort is made possible by a grant from the Montgomery County Collaboration Council to further youth education on substance use to prevent all use, especially harms and deaths from overdose.
